 Ryu Mei Company is located in Kobe, Japan and is founded by Thomas Koh Sing Sen. Ryu Mei Co primarily trades organic green tea product to small and mid-size overseas companies, and has been so doing for a couple of years. We also trades other commodities like Abalone, Shochu and other Japanese products.
This online organic green tea shop is started on Nov 2007, and has been re-worked and re-designed many time ever since. We wanted to spread messages to our customers that we do not sell our organic green tea with excessive packaging, hype, and colorful boxes. We are a simple organic green tea shop and we preferred to sell our product in a simple cardboard box and pack that is made from recycled materials. Unlike the Japanese tea market filled with fancy colorful tins, expensive wrappings and beautifully designed boxes, we prefer not to go into these kind of marketing strategies because it is a very wasteful and environment unfriendly strategy that will hurt our environment and create more garbage in the end. What is the point of living a healthy life when we are creating so much garbage in our own backyard?
So, we do not make extravagant advertisting nor do we want to mass email customers with our newsletter. We do not spam. We preferred to let our customer enjoy the tea and recommend by word of mouth. All products are freshly packed with the highest of manfacturing management and quality control. We guarantee no foreign substances, chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides were present in our products.
Ryu Mei Company also guarantee that all green tea products are fresh and of within the expiry date of less than 1 year.

Stone-age Technology
What stone-age technology do our suppliers use to process organic green tea?
 In the old days, Matcha were grinded into powder by hand with a pestle stone mortar. Today, however our main supplier Nagata-Chean do not use stone-age technology. Nagata-Chaen was the pioneer of growing, harvesting, and processing organic green tea in Japan, and they were apparently the only one to obtain an OCIA-NOP (USDA) that allows our organic products to be shipped to US. Further more, Nagata-Chean uses the state of the art technology to mass produce quality green tea without the loss of its original taste and aromas. All products are strictly controlled and process by a special team of experts who have for many years dedicated themselves to their passion and love of delicious high quality tea.

Is shopping, paying process easy?
 Our shopping cart system is powered by OScommerce which is a shopping cart system widely used by many online shopping networks. It is very easy to use and customers will be assured of its user-friendly internet feature. Check-out and payment can only be done by Paypal due to its easy to use feature and realibility. Moreover, paypal rate is much lower than bank rate. If there were any easy payment system in the future, Ryu Mei will be the first one to adopt that system.

 Ryu Mei Online Shopping has only been opened for a couple of months, and we have been receiving good customer's comments and reviews of our services and products. It is very simple because most products on the Japanese market are heavily priced due to advertising fees, promotion fees, high quality packaging, third man fees, transportation, high cost land value, labor fees etc etc. but Ryu Mei does not have any of these extra costs except our promotion in Ebay. Well, products sold on Ebay are generally priced higher due to listing and auction fees.
What about the price vs quality? Does low price mean low quality?
No, our organic products are of the highest quality used in high-end restaurants, hotels, organic shops, tea brewing companies, cafes etc all over the world.
